The Team

We are six high school students, joined through a summer program called the Student Global Leadership Institute (SGLI). Coming out of this program, we were asked to embark on a long term project that would effect change in society we think is essential to our future under the theme of ENERGY. Thus, the RE Project was born. Please enjoy our site and follow us as we continue our journey!

 About SGLI:

Meet the individual members!

Sara Kahanamoku
Aloha, I'm Sara Kahanamoku-Snelling. I'm a resident of the North Shore and am an avid swimmer, surfer, and have recently started playing water polo. I'm interested in keeping our oceans-and our islands-clean and green so that future generations can enjoy the paradise that we do today.

Julian Juarez
Hey guys! My name is Julian. I love to play soccer and spend time with friends. I hope you share the same enthusiasm that we have for smart energy solutions! Enjoy our blog and we appreciate your interest in our project. Feel free to contact one of us!

Chelsey Choy
Hello! My name is Chelsey. I love to read, talk with friends, and ponder about life. Thanks for taking the time to look at our page. This project means a lot to my group members and I. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact us. :)

Gordon Lai
Hey readers, my name is Gordon Lai. I'm pleased to be able to present to you our project and am excited to see how it will unfold. A little bit about me: I was born and raised in Hawaii. I like playing football and singing and dancing. I try to be spontaneous and always do new things. My dream is to inspire others to do the same and leave the world a better place.
Devon Nako
Hello everyone! My name is Devon, and my first swimming lesson was at the Kaimuki Waialae YMCA. I am a fan of breakfast cereal, jazz, and talk radio! Happy to be a part of this team. Thank you for sharing our interest in a GREEN Hawaii!

Colby Sameshima
Aloha everyone! I'm Colby. I love to dance ballet, tap, hip hop and jazz, and I love being in nature and helping to preserve it. I hope you find our mission inspiring and feel free to contact us with any questions or if you have an item you would love to trade. Thanks for stopping by!
